Well, the F650 is officially gone, picked up this evening. While I’m certainly glad to have the space back and I love the new bike, there was a bit of a twinge of sorrow as we loaded it onto the truck. It was my first bike and it served well, I hope it will do so for the new owner.
Cue photo montage with sappy music….. not really.

Your story brings back the memory of a sense of loss when my first car, a 63 sky blue Thunderbird, was traded for my parents’ Pontiac LeMans…as we left for our honeymoon…a more practical family car but not at all as cool as my first car… but served us well for trips with the kids. I’ve since seen “my car” at a Syracuse State Fair, and at the Quechee Antique Mall years ago…still got separation pangs…ah, memories !!!
Love,
Mary
